Valve grinder

Unread post by toytron » Fri Apr 14, 2017 12:31 pm

Just picked up a Sioux valve grinder and seat grinder from the local auction today. Can't wait to clean it up and give it a try.

Awesome find!! Found a good tool myself the other day. A Rimac valve spring tester. Great shape!! I hope to go through and document all my spare valve springs, to see if they are usable for replacement/rebuild purposes.

That is a good find. I am going to keep my eyes open for one myself.

Finally pulled the grinder out of the jeep and into the garage. Man is that thing heavy.
Tried out an old Ford valve in it just for fun and out cleaned up real nice (even though there is not much margin left). I also need to get the nifty little bracket to put the chamfer back on the stem.

Excited!
