Re: Should my VIN and Body number be different?
The VIN and Body number are always different.
The Body number is a record from Fisher Body of the UniBody that they build, outfit, then send to Chevrolet Assembly to finish into the Corvair vehicle with its dirvetrain, and suspensiion. Then it has the stainless VIN plate welded to the door opening.
So long as the letter indicating the plant where it was built - W - is the same as the code for the Fisher Body - WR - then you are good to go!
