Brad, you did such a great job interpreting the last one, can you please do the same for this one? I apologize for the wire flowing through, but these are the pictures I received of it.

Thanks for the great information, Brad. They sure packed a lot of codes in the options category to simply say "it's got a couple of things, but not really too much". No big surprise, that's what the owner shared with me as well. Odd about the Body Build date. Any chance there was a period in which they listed Month and Day? With a Production Sequence Number of just 64, I could imagine it being built on September 16th. Also, am I correct in interpreting that "64" means it was the 64th Corsa convertible to roll down the line, as opposed to it being the 64th 1965 Corvair?

I stumbled across a picture of your blue Corsa convertible the other day, Brad, and admired it so much I was tempted to ask if it might be available for sale... until I saw a reference that you just recently got it! So I'll just commend you on what looks like a great purchase. She's a beauty. I hope you enjoy it for years to come.

Oh, and Dave, just so you know, I imagine Brad will confirm privately that it was indeed a cloudy day with light rain... and 65 degrees! :-)

That is cool! Note that like my early 65 it also has the 3 number date code. Also interesting is that it is the day AFTER mine but the sequence is way lower (mine is 148) from the same LOS

My understanding is that the #64 on the TAG is the LOS sequence, whereas the serial number portion of the VIN shows the total sequence #
(mine is #148 out of LOS and #1448 total)

You may conside sharing the second VIN tag here http://corvaircenter.com/phorum/read.php?1,757926 where they are discussing other odd TAGs

That 2nd car is just about everyting one could ask for in a 65 Vair!!!
