Hi Jeff
I did not explain myself very well.
I did get Dave's photos but had failed to find similar photos in my previous searches.
That second number is obviously buried in dirt.
Many thanks

The engine id number on my car is 18W104215. Can anyone decode it? The car is 1965 Monza Convertible.

Thanks,

Don Cook

PS also how do you add a picture to a post. When I click on the photo icon all I get is Image.

Addition... to my post above, found a picture that showed that engine number is on both halfs of the engine block and found the additional numbers of
T10232RW.

18W104215?
That is a partial stamping of the VIN number to help deter fraud. The last 8 digits on your VIN tag should agree with that if the engine is still original to the car.

T10232RW?
Seems like you have one extra digit in there by accident. Looks like a 1968 model year 110 HP engine with an automatic tranny and smog pump equipped for emissions.

Photos?
If you reply using the "full editor and preview" option below the text box (not the quick reply) you will be able to upload photos.
