Good for you Scott! If anyone deserves it - it would be someone who gives so much to the Corvair Community! Give us the back story - Steel looks relatively good, but the soft parts are toast - looks like many years in the dry, high desert?

Yep Evening Orchid Turbo Corsa.
Dean Taylor (a long time club member and friend who lived near me) was using it as a parts car. Dean recently passed away. His son Gordon sold the car to Kregg (another club member and good friend) who knew I wanted it. Kregg brought it to me yesterday. Its now in my backyard. I've been looking for an evening orchid car for several years. This one being a Turbo Corsa coupe is major icing on the purple cake. It's pretty rough for a California car but I'm very happy to have it.

Thank you Bob! The steel is mostly there lol. It will need a c-pillar, doors, hood, windshield steel repair and steel behind both rear wheels. Its the roughest cart I've bought by far. But I'm very happy.

That will be one sweet ride. I have always loved that color combo. My father's buddy purchased a Corsa new with the same colors and options. He lived in CA as well. Vairy cool!!!

I may know that car. Close to 20 yrs. ago, a guy over on El Centro/ 7th ave. had 3 vairs that I came close to buying and one was a evening orchid corsa that was rough and had no engine. Can't recall if it was a turbo.
