Color Code

Hi all! Going over the 65 Vair Corsa that was bequeathed me by my Dad. Can anyone tell me if there is a color designation within the VIN or other numbers on the car? I’m noticing some red showing through where the yellow is chipping at the door lock latches on the body. I’m thinking the car was originally red. And yes I’m aware there aren’t supposed to be good vents on the front😁

Color code is on the metal tag on top of the rear crossmember behind the distributor. It is a stamped rectangular tag that has trim color and options listed on it.
Corvair guy since 1982. I have personally restored at least 20 Vairs, many of them restored ground up.
Currently working full time repairing Corvairs and restoring old cars.

Here are sample pictures of the 1965-69 Passenger Car Body Tag and VIN Tag (both in the engine compartment, riveted to the perimeter frame near the battery and the distributor)...
