Wow, parts prices.
Price of Corvair parts really climbing? Been looking for a 66-69 manual trans differential. Most of the ones I did find were in the $50-$100 range, plus shipping. I can handle that. Two west coast places.... Ouch. One wanted $200, the other $400!!! Plus shipping and considered 'cores'. I can buy a whole car for $400..... Clarks is out of stock, they list for $80/$85. Reasonable.

Ronnie - I hate shipping diffs and trans, but I have a few down here as well. The problem/cause I see for the price, is that besides myself and David Clemens, I can't think of anyone in this area that would have one or any salvage yards where there might be one under a car. Stuff is quickly drying up.

Re: Wow, parts prices.
Thanks Mike. I found one in Maryland, arrived UPS today. 83.3 pounds shipped. I tried to find one local with no luck, even the great and mighty Corvair guys I know do not have 66-69 manual trans diffs. They all seem to have either EM, and/or, PG diffs. And of coarse this lead to the "EM is better" comments... LOL Had to do it because of $$ issues. Still cheaper with shipping than it is to rebuild a diff.
