Just shot the clear over gold metallic on a late AMT from their last release a couple of years ago. One of our chapter members worked a deal with our local hobby shop and several of us ended up with a case each. They are resting happily in my model building/car library room with about 100 other unbuilts and 50 or so models I built from the time I was about 8....gonna be fun re-doing some of them.....

Been busy working in knee therapy and working on a 65 CORSA convertible. when I can hobble around it. sitting down on the ground is not bad... but getting up....OMG
I have posted two pictures with his lights on.
Hope you like him.
Thanks,

Coming to a Chevy Dealer near you.....This was my favorite because it was in a Chevy Showroom. But this is one you can NOT put up on a shelf.
Great work on the Paper Bee!!

Those models are pretty wild !

I just came across these items from 1969. I can still remember building the Mustang.

I found this picture I took of almost all the models I built growing up. The Green Dune Buggy and the Bed Buggy were the only Corvair powered kits in this picture. I think this was Early 70's.

If anyone out there is interested in buying a collection of mostly unopened 1/24th 1/25th scale automotive model kits, I have a bunch of them that are all made prior to 1993 (mostly)
They have been stored in a cool dry area, not in an attic or shed so they should still be as new once opened.

A quick inventory follows:

74 Kits are Corvette's ranging from 1953 to about 1993 when I stopped buying kits.

10 Kits are Buick or Pontiac.

22 Kits are Chevrolet.

23 Kits are Chrysler, Dodge, or Plymouth.

17 Kits are Ford or Lincoln.

11 Kits are Miscellaneous.

I also have a smaller collection of smaller scale die cast and promo's that are mostly Corvettes (no Corvair's sorry) including Matchbox, Tootsietoy, Monogram Exact's, Micro Machines (again no Corvair's), and Johnny Lightning.

I have a more comprehensive list on an excel spreadsheet that includes most of the stuff. I obtained and sold some since compiling the list and have not updated it in over ten years but it is still a fairly accurate inventory.

If anyone out there is looking to make a large purchase, I would like to sell the collection as a whole, not one or two pieces.

Back in 1993 I valued the collection at no less than $1,100.00 when the average kit was about $7.00 each. I would be looking for somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,500.00 for everything I have. (Yeah I know.....I'm dreaming huh) :fingerscrossed:

I'd love to have a 65 Corsa model to paint the same color as mine, but the trick would be getting wheels that match the ones I have installed on my Vair. And how to duplicate the vinyl/cloth seats...
