Welcome to the Corvair Forum! When I saw the name "sethracer" pop up on the Corvair Forum, I said to myself "this can't be Seth Emerson!" But it is... and making his introduction on the Corvair Forum! I think that there are many of us on the Corvair Forum who are familiar with your background with Corvairs and with Silicone Wire Systems and the Corvair accessories you produce. (I still need to send you an order for a steering wheel hub adapter!) Many of us are also looking forward to the release of the book that you produced in conjunction with Bill Fisher, entitled Performance Corvairs: How to Hotrod the Corvair Engine and Chassis

This must be your home! A very nice looking 1965 Corvair coupe in the driveway was a clue, complements of Google Earth.

I was also born in California – in Southern California in Van Nuys – and lived in San Jose from 1959 through 1969, most of that time near Meridian and Curtner avenues, about 6½ miles from you. The final few years I lived in Campbell, where I attended Del Mar High School until I was sixteen years old. When Lockheed transferred my father to Lockheed Burbank, in Southern California, we relocated to Thousand Oaks in Ventura County, where I finished high school and lived until I was married and joined the Air Force in 1972. I have many fond memories of growing up in California. After retiring from the Air Force in 1996, and living and working in central Pennsylvania for several years, I now live in North Carolina -- in western NC on Lake Chatuge, 1/4 mile north of the Georgia border, about four miles north of Hiawassee, Georgia and 100 miles north of Atlanta. I have been involved with Corvairs since I was nine years old, when my parents bought our first Corvair in San Jose -- a brand new 1961 Monza 2-door coupe, white on red with a 4-speed transmission. Our second Corvair, a 1965 Corsa convertible, was also bought in San Jose. I now own Corvair number ten, which I purchased last June. (If you want to read a brief personal biography that outlines my family background and our experiences with Corvairs, go to CORVAIR FORUM > Introductions > New from Lake Chatuge North Carolina. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4032)

So welcome again to the Corvair Forum! I hope that you will choose to join us regularly and that we will hear from you periodically on this forum. Glad to have you here!

 Back in a day, Rondo memtioned Staten Island NY, I hated that bridge going over from Perth Amboy  being under age in Jersey, we had to go over the bridge to buy beer or what ever .... we always got caught on the bridge and lost our party brew till we smartened up some..... We would go over with two cars and then I and my friend would have a few cans and sure enough , I would be stop ............ I dont know if it was my corvair's paint job or me driving... the other car , a cuda would make it thru most of the time....Long time since I thought of that place... thanks for bringing back some memories..... :tu: CG

Funny story I just left for work and I look on my windshield and I have a note, it reads "Please give me a call, Paul. Live down the street (Ashland ave) a corvair owner"

But it's hard to call him since he never left his number.... lol
