UPS announced they are laying off 20,000 of their global work force in 2025. SURPRISINGLY this is not because of trade tariffs as UPS said they still haven't figured out how trade tariffs will impact them due to all the changes.
The layoffs are due to "unprofitable" business with Amazon that UPS will wind down requiring less UPS employees!!! Another cause is the use of new technology to automate more jobs (the business experts have predicted this a couple of years ago).
Bottom line --- some shipping costs may go up this year so plan accordingly. It will depend on if UPS increases or reduces shipping costs and if Amazon takes up the slack, but recently some Amazon delivery folks went on strike that could raise their shipping costs. Plan ahead!!

It is OK, USPS will get a price increase due to the failing nature of their organization and now the new requirement to be profitable by current administration.
It will be cheaper to find someone in the location your item is in and coming to your location later in the month.

FedEx got out of the Amazon fray several years ago. Amazon Prime is ruining the shipping business, especially USPS. No use moving a bunch of packages if it isn't profitable. I will not join Amazon Prime.
