Unread post by toytron » Sun Mar 19, 2017 9:54 pm

Hey all,

For anyone interested O'Reilly auto parts has an interesting part listed. I think with a little modification it could work in a corvair.

http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/home.oap

Type in 121g in the search.

Looked at the site mentioned, just a title page. No specifics.
What part are you considering?

If you don't bypass the resistor wire, the Flux Capacitor may not begin fluxing until a higher speed is reached. With only 7 VDC, you may have to push the Corvair to 89 or even 90 mph! The old girl may not be able to stand the strain!!! Be sure to use a fresh fan belt and oil the generator — it has to work harder to make up for a lack of Plutonium and stainless steel bodywork!
