Who's going to 2015 Corsa Convention / Knoxville?

Post by rv6aaviator »

Who's planning on going to the 2015 Convention? If anybody's going through Cincinnati on their way down and would like a to meet up and drive down in a group, I'd be up for it. My parents are driving my 62 and my wife and I are driving the 63.

I will be going, along with some other members of the Circle City Corvair club. I don't know yet if we are going through Cincinnati or down I65 from Indy. This will be my first convention, should be fun :woo:

For all who are going - how many are actually driving their Corvairs? I know the few that already replied look to be. It's 600 miles for me and I'm not all to sure I'd make it -nor have I really been through my car enough to be confident it would. I'm thinking of maybe trying to combine it with another trip we are planning right now. Just wondering.
1st one - 65 Monza Vert with power top and 110 with a 4 spd. Was a bit dilapidated but fun, 2nd was a 1965 Corvair Monza Convertible. PG - 1960 or 61 or 63 80 hp engine - we think...

At this point I'm planning on driving my '66 Corsa turbo convertible "Tux" down, although since I now won't be able to caravan down with the rest of the Circle City Club since with the revised schedule they will travel on Monday, but I cannot leave until Tuesday, I'm considering trailering to help avoid any chance of having car trouble out on the highway by myself.

I looked at the CORSA site and didn't see a schedule or anything - does anyone know if there is something out there outlining what will be going on when or is it too early for that still? Since I can probably only be there a day or two trying to find out when to make it. Just ran my idea of going by the wife and she's for it - but no way we can drive my vert down there. Too expensive to pay for two cars, etc. I'm sure there will still be plenty to do anyway!

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it.

I'll be at a conference in Miami, FLA. (I know.. horrible place for a conference in June) AND celebrating my Birthday that weekend.

Wish I could come but the cards are stacked against me.
