I'm bringing my wife and three youngest kids (13, 16, 18) with me. Day one was driving from our home in the desert to Red Bluff Ca. The trip so far has gone smoothly. This will be the furthest we have traveled and also the longest road trip we have ever done.

Today we have 9hrs of driving ahead of us. We are driving my 2002 GMC Yukon Denali with 205,000 miles on it. So far she has been faithful as ever. The drive was pretty standard. My 16yr old said the only difference in this drive and our regular weekly drive to church was that in this drive his butt hurts. :rolling: The scenery wasn't very different until we hit Sacramento. Then it got more scenic or maybe that was when I started to lay attention. :dontknow:
Wifey was pretty grumpy last night, everyone was tired. Today is starting a bit slow. Time for breakfast.

Stopping for lunch outside Canyonville Oregon. Beautiful country up here. It's weird though. It looks like mountains and forests but it's not high in elevation like I'm used to seeing in SoCal and it's hot outside.

This was our stop in Ashland, Oregon. This is the Starbucks where my wife bought a Neil Diamond's Greatest hits cd for her leg of driving.

Ok so I'm here and I have been having fun. I had a day full of Corsa BOD meetings for Monday. Pretty cool to meet the other BOD members that I have only talked with through the forum or phone calls previously.

Tuesday I took allot of pictures of the cars here at the host hotel. I still have not been over to the LeMay museum but I'll spend the day there on Friday for the car show.

My buddy Kregg aka "The Corvair Hoarder" and his fiance "Mrs. Hoarder" drove the Valentines Convertible from Lords Of the Car Hoards the 1200 miles up here. The car has been getting some attention and sparks lots of conversations. We put an "As Seen On TV" sticker in the window and I made a poster for him to display with the car.

I gotta go I'll write more later and post some pics.

Glen, I totally didn't put it together that it was you I ran into the other day.
Beautiful family you got there buddy! It was great meeting you all. I just wish I would have realized who you guys were at the time. I was thinking I should have known you but I couldn't figure out from where.

I love the color of your car too. I got a few pictures of it that day.

Get in touch with me here and I'll give you one of the hats I had made up.

Hey Scott,

We did not attend the banquet last night and didn't run into you before we checked out this morning...it was nice meeting you! Thanks for the hat, and have a good trip back to CA. If you get up this way again let me know!

Cheers from the family!
