All panels are hung, glass is all ready to go back in. Dash is mostly reassembled besides instrument cluster (sorting out cluster function) Cut and buff has begun and by tonight I am hoping to have a good portion of the outer trim and bumpers back on. Things are happening fast but time is sure running out quick!

Only one mechanical item left...adjust brake pedal free play.

Saved it for last...you have to be a contortionist and a pretzel.

My 71 year (That's for E in Milwaukee!) old self doesn't like it.

Started the process of cleaning underside and engine compart.

Fact that I started cleaning a week out is a vairy good thing!!!

My engine is going back together. I have the pistons and barrels on, now to grind some valves and get the heads on.

Making progress on my to-do list. It almost seems to add items as fast as I'm checking things off.

Some things just aren't going to happen, particularly polishing the Hands wheels but as far as the wheels go, the wire covers are accurate for this honest "just like it was" restoration.

I had my car ready, then thought I would install my new (to me) seats. Now its apart again and I'm neck deep in printing the shirts, so now I'm not sure I'll be taking it. We will see.
The convention shirts look good though :tu:

I still have a long way to go in the next week, but I have gotten a whole lot done in the right direction and I am confident it will be at least 90% complete and running when it goes in the trailer

Clunk Clunk in the front right suspension does not clunk anymore.

All the last of the rubber fell out of it when I removed the A-arm.

Duck the parts car to the rescue again...dirty but functional part.

Heading West, in Bakersfield, hold for the evening then on to SLO in the morning. Easy driving today on I-40, past by another trailer with Corvair heading this way. Good day, pete

My red 65 driven by my daughter made it to the convention with its new engine. I changed the jets just before we left and a used jet had some kind of crud in it even though the jet was open. Popped the carb top off at a rest stop, ran a wire through the jet and all was good for the rest of the 800 miles.
