Finished the detailing of the 63 Monza. lots of time in the air working on chassis, back on the ground. Road test and operation checks completed successfully. I did address the past items with respect to originality. Tires are new with correct whitewall width and size, original master cylinder and fuel pump rebuilt and installed and battery and oil filter requirements met. I plan to enter the 63 in the “ Stock Original Unrestored class in the concours. Good day all.

Everybody is doing nice work.

Pete, the 63 is looking great. Are your air cleaners original or do you paint them?

The air cleaners are original, all the finishes on this car are original applied at the factory in 1963. I have been very careful not to change anything, this is most difficult with the chassis as they were not perfect when built on the line to start with. The engine bay and interior are close to mint condition still. Car now has 830 miles on it, I purchased in 2013 with 17 miles. Good day, pete.

When I see those cars with less than 1000 miles for auction on BaT.

I wonder how do they do that...looking forward to seeing this one!!

My prep:

I have plane tickets, but the real prep is thinking about driving the 29 hours, pulling the Flexi Flier to the Autocross.

You have an original style battery for it - or is that no longer a requirement in Factory Stock, unrestored?

Revision 9 to the concourse rules was made in February 2025 which made changes to the stock original classification. These changes were for the oil filter and battery. A group 51 Delco battery is now acceptable for the 63 (factory stock original) classification as reproduction batteries are currently not available. Good day all.

No. Since I'm doing the trophies I won't be competing in any of the events.

Rear suspension completely reworked with brand new Clark's stabilizer bar...mostly just other odd & ends left.

Up in the air like most of you lol.

Lots of little details. Undercarriage dusting/cleaning and detailing.

Not sure why I'm doing that since I'm leaning away from entering Councours. Too much Q-tip work  . Convince me otherwise.

Today I justified buying a power washer. I'm all wet now, but the car looks pretty good! ::-):
