I've driven my 66 V8 Corsa, my 66 140 Corsa and my 65 140 sedan all since last Saturday.

I just don't stop to take pictures unless there's a good reason.

Okay. Here is a photo of my 66 140 Corsa after I drove it to Home Depot to get a couple of things for the house. After thoughtfully leaving it within the parking lines way in the back lot where no other cars were parked, I was rewarded with a buckled driver's door when I came out 10 minutes later. Of course nobody saw anything or left a note on the car. It removed the paint down to the metal in several places so I sprayed some clear polyuethane sealer on it as soon as I got home just to seal it until I can fix it better.

This car is no beauty queen but that's no excuse to hit it and drive off care-free. I probably would have been better off to park it up front where there's a better chance of someone being a witness to the damage. I thought I was safe out in the back lot but some a##-wipe still managed to damage it!!

The manager at Home Depot said unless there was an injury or the unless the police make the request they will not release security video. They would not even tell me if the cameras can see that area or not. I suspect they don't have much clarity that far away.

The police did not want to be called to private property over a minor fender-bender. They said with no injuries, no witnesses, the vehicle being parked and with me not in it, they would not investigate a minor parking lot incident. The dispatcher told me that's why you have car insurance.

So I guess I pay extra for car insurance so that others don't have to be responsible for their mistakes. If I file a claim I owe the deductible and also get a black mark for it.

Can you tell I'm still ticked off??

I was at Albertsons Grocery store,Talked to the manager and they reviewed the tapes and gave me the license number and description of the car the same day and gave the cops a copy of the tape! I would be on Home Depots ass! I would be pissed also!
