  Now THAT'S impressive!!
It is good to hear of a Corvair that... in spite of great adversity (3°, wind chill 10° below... the Corvair started right up and the heater worked well!

Thanks for sharing and showing persistance with your Corvair! :tu:

Today I drove my Corvair to work. I'm an outside sales rep for Garland's Inc. We sell casters and material handling products. I took my regular car into the dealership because it lost a gallon of antifreeze after only 20k miles :( Needless to say my Corvair won't do that. People have mentioned that I shouldn't drive it. My response is, "It's only a car"

Not only are the just a car they go GREAT in the snow & we are getting our share here in Kalamazoo, thanks to the warmer waters of Lake Michigan. It's been so cold here the road commission is just using sand.

Great to see the northern cars being enjoyed even though it is too cold (and salty) for my ride :not worthy:

Very nice looking 62, I think the 62 was the best looking of the early models. Better looking tail lights, door panels, nose trim, hub caps & rear fake air vents. Of course my first Corvair was a new 1962 Monza Coupe 102HP 4 speed car. :tu: :tu:

We drove to Burnet, Texas the weekend of April 17th for the annual Heart Of Texas Corvair reunion. Bad weather was all around us and "gully washers" at night but the rain held off during the show and during our drive out there. Bad rain on the way home with hail but the weekend was great with nice cars and good people.

Made it up to Michigan for Meet the Makers. 4 hours each way and not a problem cruising 70 mph on the freeway.

Nice little 550 mile round trip to my 20th high school reunion. It was fun parking among all the minivans and SUVs, got a lot of comments. Car ran great with no issues. This was the first time I've driven it further than about 30 miles from home since I bought it last fall.

Neither the fuel gauge nor the odometer work, but figuring as best I could using Google maps, I think I averaged about 18mpg.
