Those are awesome but especially when it is your vehicle that is featured!

Re: CARicature corvairs
these are in the style of the late, great Dave "Big" Deal. Big did the logo for Armor All, the little Viking holding up his shield against sun damage. We Corvair people know him from the Crown Corvair V8 illustration. Some of you may remember him from the old MG Mitten ads in Road and Track, he did cartoons for those. Revell made models based on his cartoons. When Pixar was having trouble explaining the design intent for the CARS movies to their keyboard kids, they got Dave to come in and show them how to draw hot rods, how to give a car a personality, that whole thing with eyeballs drawn on windshields. Now you see that style everywhere. In my opinion, Chevy based the last gen Camaro body on those movies. Many years ago, I tried emailing him, I wanted to find a copy of an old MG Mitten cartoon for a rearview mirror reflecting a tiny Austin Mini Cooper. But Dave had done so many thousands of illustrations that it did not ring a bell with him. Gone too soon.

I worked in Hot Wheels design with some GREAT car illustrators. Many could do caricatures like these, all can do amazing work. Larry Wood is the best-known of them. Coolest car guy ever, a real hot rodder. Over 30 years he did a lot of cool & funny sketches of my '67. I should find & share those here.

Re: CARicature corvairs
I have not posted in quite a while so this looked like a fun post to begin with and keep going. I was looking through some memorabilia and ran across this old T shirt I used to wear in the late 60's and early 70's. Took a lot of "HEAT" from my HS Hot Rod buddies but it was all in good fun. I wore it until it was unwearable and then I'm sure it spent some time as a shop rag in my garage! Eventually, I recall cutting the image out for posterity and tossed the rest. Glad I kept it. I think that I will mount it in a picture frame and put it on the wall in my office....

INSERT YOUR CUSTOM CORVAIR-ART PILLOW HERE
Do you know anyone who is handy with a sewing machine???
There are many sizes and shapes of pillow forms out there.
Perhaps one will be just right to give your old shirt a new purpose and a new life!
