That’s amazing! Did you do your own fuel Injection? I’ve been looking for a shop that is willing to do a fuel conversion but I’ve had no luck. Ray from American PI in CA said he would build a kit and sell it to me then never heard from him.

Been a long time coming...

Sorry, been a while since I have been able to post. My mechanic in Montebello, CA is doing it for me. It took him a while but he got it right. Name of the shop is All in One. Let me know if you want his info.

Having trouble with my differential and might need to get another one. mechanic is telling me the differential is leaking into the transmission. Any one have a rebuilt for a 1963 Chevy Automatic? Close to California would be great...

It has 2 seals on the pinion shaft and an o-ring on the adjuster. Just replace them. Another used one would also probably have 55+ year old seals in it.

I appreciate the response. I will sent that info to my mechanic. Your right, would have the same issue on a used one as well.

If you mark the adjusters you can replace the seals without having to worry about setting the gear lash.

I'm curious what your mechanic meant by "the differential is leaking into the transmission." Don't the transaxle and transmission share the same gear oil?

They share on manual transmissions but the automatic is separate. 2 seals on the pinion shaft and an o-ring on the bearing adjuster.
From the pictures he has an automatic.
