Blue & White paint?

Post by County98 »

Kicking around paint ideas. Not sure if I want to go back to red.

Was thinking of going for a little nostalgic Yenko feel without painting a clone.

Maybe medium to dark blue sides and white roof, trunklid, and hood.

I've been searching for pics, but coming up pretty empty. Can you guys put up some pics of blue/white LM'S please?

Just do this type of Stinger paint scheme, reverse the colors.

I remember quite a few Ford GT40s, Camaros, etc. in blue and white that looked pretty good. Perhaps some of these photos and the link at the bottom will show you something that inspires you...

I'm not thinking stripes, but I really like the blue on the last camaro and the last GT40.

The inverse of the stinger SyntheticBlinkerFluid posted is what I'm kicking around, but just seeing if you guys saw a pic floating around.

What do you guys think? The blue of last camaro on the sides with white everything else or go back to red?

I can't tell by that picture, but the last Camaro looks like a '68 Camaro, but in '69 Le Mans Blue.

Good color either way.

No reason to go back red unless you're doing a restoration. My '68 was a Grecian Green car and my dad went black and red. It's going to stay that color combo. Maybe not the way he wanted it, but it will stay that way.

Rob, what color blue is that on the Vair with the #18? Is that Marina Blue? Anyone know?

Well it's whatever Yenko used, someone with Stinger knowledge would know more than I.

I like the two tone look, just did a 96 mustang two tone, black and green.
I'm thinking black on top and silver on the bottom, with red pin stripe between them.
