Driving around the lower Susquehanna
Well today I was home alone with the dog and had nothing better do so we went for a drive. Today we probably drove about 80 miles round trip and explored the lower Susquehanna valleys. I love driving down through southern Lancaster and York counties around the river here. There are lots of cool places to explore in and out of the car and the river and all the small creeks that feed it cut gorges through the hills. There is not really one single road that follows the river though; just a maze of crazy back roads that from time to time come down to the river and at other times are on the hills above it. I really like this region and I would like to share some of my adventures today...

I've been down that way many times. There used to eb an old abandoned village on the south side of the connowingo dam.
Also, there is a cool quarry on Atom Road by the power plant. Used to be great for cliff diving back in the day.
