I don't know your technical background or how comfortable you are with reading Corvair wiring schematic diagrams. Your aftermarket radio likely requires both a switched (ignition switch control) and unswitched power source. The latter draws only a little power, but allows the radio electronics "memory", such as a clock display, favorite stations memory, etc. to "keep" those memory settings when the key is turned off.

The fuse block or cigarette lighter (previously mentioned) provide both continuous power taps and switched power (controlled by the ignition switch). The schematic wiring diagrams and the fuse block can provide the power taps you will need to support your new radio. Of course, the radio will also need a good GROUND connection and speaker connections.

The fuse block has several spade connectors that may be used to power the radio via the ignition switch, and to provide continuous unswitched power. A multimeter or test light may be helpful in confirming a power source connection, and whether or not it is switched on and off by the ignition switch.

I you have any specific questions, please let us know. :dontknow:
