And for those of us with no washer (1spd wipers) this universal is a decent possibility. Nozzles could conceivably fit between the slots in the panel between the windshield and the hood. Mount the bottle where you see fit, and wire it up.

Use it this way, or get the correct Wiper/Washer switch, knob, and nozzles from Clarks. (See Parts Below).

I would think Jeff at the Ranch would have some nozzles also. On the late model cars the holes for the nozzles were on all of the cars. If the earlies were that way also it would be easy to add them.

I'll add the reproduction wiper knobs with the hole for the button DO NOT WORK!

The button hole is big enough, but when you tighten down the knob screw it moves the knob off center on the shaft and binds the push button. If you make the button hole bigger it looks like crap as it will be a BIG OFF CENTER hole on the button.

I made up a shim to put in the knob (opposite the screw) and when it worked I pulled the shim, but just a little JB Weld on it and put the shim in the knob and installed the knob on a GREASED switch shaft so the JB Weld would not stick to it. A day to cure and knob comes off on goes back on for repairs without the shim dropping out. When you tighten screw down, the knob stays centered and button works.

O.K., maybe I have too much time to tinker. :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

If anyone is interested, I can dig though my Amazon purchases to find the model.
I'd like to know. Keep in mind Amazon links to work here unless you remove the http// prefix.
The full name is:

12V Universal Car Windshield Washer Pump Tank 1.8L Bottle Kit with Pump Jet Button Switch and Nozzle160186

Pasting that into google will get you the same bottle pump combo from multiple sources.

I took a look at the Amazon available unit and saw it is sold in at least 30 other places it seems. It is a generic unit made by China company. For the frugal Vair owner, I know this is what they will want. Reliability will be a guess, like those round fuel pumps & LED bulbs from China. The 12V Universal Car Windshield Washer Pump Tank 1.8L Bottle Kit with Pump Jet Button Switch and Nozzle 160186 costs $12.99 But to me, I don't see it being as aesthetically pleasing as the 88 - 96 Chevy Truck unit that I installed. This one would look out of place in a Vair to me. Maybe it would look more at home in a vintage VW or Izuzu. I suggest you read the reviews on Amazon before buying theunit. A couple review mentions "made cheap and has weak stream." Another rmentioned needingto buy 2 to get good sprays out the squirters (one for each side).

The 88 - 96 Chevy truck unit is an aftermarket product from LMC Truck. It is a duplicate of the Chevy washer reservoir p/n 22127579 and its installation parts, which are no longer available. With a cost of about $37 plus shipping, it is reasonable expense for modification. Reliability on this system is also a guess, but it has been installed on my Vair for 5 years and 20k miles. I use it a lot, when I am on the road. Tailgaters don't like the fluid that sprays back, when I clean my windows. I have the nozzles set high, as the spray comes out at a high speed and quantity. I only need to bump the switch to get the water on the windshied, when I actually need to wash it. One improvement my Vair's system could use is smaller nozzles so less water comes out whenswitch is activated. But it is working fine, as is.

That cheap Chinese water pump reminds me of he Edelbrock "Vara-Jection" water injection system pump I had on my 140 back in 1981. https://www.ebay.com/itm/235574954069
