I just read a post from another site that Bob Helt just passed away.

Have two of his books and actually met him at the show in Palm Springs a while back.

Really a nice guy.

Sad to lose him. He left a great legacy of Corvair knowledge in his books.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bob's passing. Although I never met him, I'm aware of the books and articles he wrote for the Corvair community. By all accounts, he was an expert in all things Corvair and a really nice guy, too. We're going to miss him. I offer my condolences to his family.
