New 92mm Cylinders
Two of my good friends and I have started to make some new Corvair products. We currently have a few sets of these available.
VW 92mm Thick wall cylinders machined to fit std Corvair stroke and piston compression height. These cylinders were made for High performance and Aviation purposes. A great choice for high horsepower or turbo applications.
Cylinder O.D. are the same as 94mm VW.
CNC Machined to Corvair length +.013 to make up for missing base gasket. With stock stroke and late model piston compression height should yield 0 deck. Shorter Cylinders are available for VW (A) stroke pistons and stock Corvair rod if needed.
Bottom of cylinder is notched for crank/rod clearance.
Bored and Honed to 92mm or 3.622”. Check with your piston supplier for proper piston to wall clearance. Using a stock 92mm (AA) style piston, piston clearance is set to .002.-.0025.
Honed finished to 280. Check with your piston ring supplier for proper hone finish.
These cylinders require machining to case and heads.
Top O.D of cylinders are 101.4mm or 3.992”
Bottom skirt O.D. 97.3mm or 3.830”
Bore 3.622 x Stroke 2.94 = 182CI or 2978cc Approximately 3 Liters
4 sets available at $750.00 per set plus tax and shipping.
Thanks for looking,

We have 4 sets ready to go. We're still setting up the website. I can do the transaction if you don't want to wait for that to be finished.

Re: New 92mm Cylinders
Hi Scott. I can wait. I would like to know more. Thanks.
Re: New 92mm Cylinders
Scott, remind me what size motor you end up with using this setup?

Re: New 92mm Cylinders
2.978 liter, with a 1964-69 crankshaft. Machining of the case and heads are needed. If everything else remains the same, besides the increase in bore size, your compression ratio will increase about 8%.
Re: New 92mm Cylinders
Are pistons provided also?
Re: New 92mm Cylinders
Not currently. But we are working on sourcing some.
