my '61 rampy (rusty truck has a car 4peed and car 110 engine.) came with the truck. I've seen many out there .I know the main difference in some years are the gear ratios and the absence of a back-up switch port.I am in the process of transplanting this powertrain into my other '61 rampside,(ugly truck)....

I figured it would work , I`m just thinking it is a crossmember issue and was wondering what people did to overcome that , or what cross member works ? I could always fabricate one .

You'll need a 4 speed fc trans mount . I got mine from Jeff @ California Corvairs I believe it cost $40 .He has a big bin full of various cross members. You'll also need the correct input shaft and clutch disk (has to do with number of splines) also available @ ca corvairs/ If you have any questions about anything corvair give Jeff a call he is very knowledgeable and very friendly. good luck with your project...
