Fresh Air Cables

Post by Eurobilly »

I am putting the interior back in my '61 GB following a fresh paint job. The fresh air cables (both left and right) need to be repaired. The left side cable is broken and the right side sleeve is kinked. I'd like to repair rather than replace with used - who knows how long the used cable will last?
Anyone care to share their solution or experience?

Post fix follow up: I was able to take the broken cable assemblies apart and replace the wire and sleeve with brand new using a lawnmower throttle cable. Both side work perfectly now. Should be good for another 50 years.
