I have a 8 door panel corvair van, corvan? I thought a no window van was a corvan am I right?
I have heard some call a windowed van a corvan, can this be? :dontknow:
What is the defining difference of a corvan and/or a greenbirer van? just wondering? THANKS Jimbo

You are correct, any Corvair van with no windows is a Corvan. All Greenbriers have windows all the way around.

EDIT: Initially I posted that Corvans all had no rear windows, I have been corrected on this.

The Corvan was intended as a work vehicle, for deliveries and such. The Greenbrier was a passenger vehicle. The 8 door is not all that common, so that is a nice piece to have =)

To the best of my knowledge this is not entirely true... Some Corvans came with fixed windows. There were even "display" Corvans with windows on the passenger side only and panel on the driver side.

Am I right that the ones with windows on the right side were phone ordered vans?
And I too had heard fixed windows were also corvans??
Just tryin to get this all correct in my head.
So if I put roll up and down windowed doors (just one on each side) behind the
driver and passenger doors WHAT would it be??? on my panel van ???THANKS Jimbo

Ah sorry for my mistake, I don't know near as much about FC's as I do about the cars. I learn more every day =)

Here are a few pictures of my 63. Full panel on Drivers side, full panel with two doors on the passenger side and 2 fixed windows on rear doors. I have seen over the last 3 years that there were many different combinations, I even saw 64 near Erie with a 1 full swinging door in the rear, the guy said that it was a special order hearse. It sure looked like it was designed from the factory, but that is the only van that I have ever seen with that "option"

Dropped how have you got yours lowered? LOOKS GOOD
Mine is like that but I have found rear doors without windows
that I might use, going to drive it with them and see how
hard it is to see while driving. Jimmy (still a work in progress )
