HISCC/CIR Autocross at Rantoul this weekend

Post by tlevair »

Michael and I are going to Rantoul to run with Tim Mahler and Rick Loving this weekend. Should be a FUN time! I had posted on Facebook a msg to Tim....."better watch your back Tim, I wont be behind you this time!" He beat me by a few 10ths or maybe even 100ths at Marshalltown! Wish me luck.... er I mean a heavier right foot!

We had a blast in Rantoul with Tim Mahler and Rick Loving! The weather couldnt have been more perfect....mid 80's with a steady breeze! I didnt fair so well on Saturday coming in 3rd out of 4, but Michael won his class! Sunday we ran the same course but "backwards"....it flowed ALOT better so Im assuming we actually ran it "backwards" on Saturday. Michael and I both won our classes but most importantly Michael was 3rd overall!! He was slightly behind a SCCA Championship Corvette...within 1 sec I believe. Everyone there was friendly and very helpful and in my case very encouraging. I guess Im going to need to install a HUGE COMPASS on the dash so I cant get lost on course anymore! Anyway it was a blast!! Didnt see any other babes in Corvairs there so I guess I held my own! Off to Grissom Aeroplex in Peru IN this Sunday for an Aussie Pursuit!
