CANCELLED - NECC Pre-Convention Drag Racing at Knoxville

Post by Allan Lacki »

Gentlemen:

It is with regret that the Northeast Corvair Council announces the cancellation of the planned pre-convention drag race. Registrations were far below those needed to make the event financially viable. NECC regrets any inconvenience this may cause. We thank all our loyal supporters and hope to see many of you at the Corvair Olympics in July. Registration for the Olympics will open in a matter of days. Your support of this three day event is needed. Thanks again.

This only happens for the link posted to the forum? Not the link you see from the Wordpress side?

Re: CANCELLED - NECC Pre-Convention Drag Racing at Knoxville (2015!)

Hello AlexeyOl,

I'm not sure, but it sounds like you tried to click on the link in the cancellation announcement yesterday and nothing happened. That's understandable. The NECC website resides on the CORSA server, and the CORSA server has been down for maintenance over the past day or so (Sunday & Monday, May 22 & 23, 2016).

Also, I should point out that the announcement applied to drag races that were planned for last year's (2015) CORSA Convention. NECC isn't planning any drag races this year.

However, you are certainly welcome to run with us at New York Safety Track. We'll be running lapping days there on June 25 and August 27. Both dates are Saturday dates. You can read all about them at our website (when the server comes back online at http://www.neccmotorsports.com
