I took these great pictures at the GM Employee Car Show in July and I think it is a perfect spring-board for entry to COTM!

In the background is the lake and a number of engineering buildings on the General Motors Technical Center grounds in Warren Michigan. This is between the GM Styling Dome and GM Research. These photos were taken before dawn and uses HDR software to combine 3 bracketed-exposure shots into a single image.

The following shots are different perspectives, not equal to the one above. Somehow driving my Corsa on these grounds with the Ionic Stainless Steel water tower - on the same roads that the Monza SS, the Astro 2 and Electrovair drove makes me appreciate these vehicles and their history all the more.

This last shot is outside of the Vehicle Engineering Center - bringing my 50-Year-Old into our modern times...

This my small contribution to September COTM. My signature links to my Build Thread (that needs updating!), so I won't try to repeat all of our journey to this point.

Thanks for your consideration.

Now that I have a Corvair that runs, I can finally enter one of these!!

Presenting my 1965 Corsamatic!

This car has been converted to 66 tail lights, interior, etc by a previous owner.

Here you can see the left bank carbs after I rebuilt them to get the car home

Somewhere in this cars murky past it was converted to a PG Auto, but they retained the Corsa Dash
My first drive home (98 Deg) convinced me that having an all polished dash blows....

so my lovely wife actually masked it off in place so I could VHT wrinkle paint it!!

MUCH better!

Wow a PG in a Corsa. They did a decent job of cutting the dash. And you're brave painting that inside the car. It came out nice though.

I've been told that I will be able to "drop it in low and leave it there" for autocrossing. we'll see... fixing a carb issue this weekend, then some fun.

I am hoping to get under it this weekend as well and start to document with what and how it was converted.

SteveH - you would have cleaned my clock had you put the 'Field Find' up instead of the new one! I didn't even realize as you were trying to get it done before your HOA towed it away last fall that it wasn't a runner... I hope you are enjoying "Red" and the driving of Corvairs - you have earned it!

My best!

The HOA did not tow it. I still have it. Field find is currently minus interior and drive pack and has a cracked front windshield. BOTH heads need welding and machining so I am replacing them, the block is still locked up and is being a bugger to get apart. This car is one I can actually drive.

I would feel kind weird about posting a car that is not complete or running in this competition. It is fun to enter, win or no... Good luck!!!

Took first successful road trip! 1 Hour each way in the "storm" to Seth Emerson's to pick up a set of plug wires.

Ran great. Love the Mag Caps...

UPDATE: Now with correct 65 Lenses!!
