New Guy - Edmond, OK

Post by Orange Power »

I'm a new member in Edmond, OK. Don't have a Corvair yet but been looking.
Would like to get a 64 but can't decide fully on a coupe or conv and also not sure about auto vs 4 speed.
There are + and - for all.

My interests are cars, engineering, programming probably in that order.
I'm 66 years old (can't really believe that), own a small software business and collect cars that interest me.
The Corvair definitely interests me.
I have a couple of older water cooled Porsches but I like the idea of the only American air cooled flat 6.

As a new member there is a lot I don't know about Corvairs and this forum.
For example, I don't see a way to send a Private Message (PM).

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom (Orange Power)

Thanks. It did that earlier but now I see the link that was not there before.
Maybe my posting under Introductions made it appear.

Another dumb question, where is my Corsa Member# found?

I vote for a 4 speed. Way more fun than a power glide in my experience.
