:welcome2:  Welcome to the Corvair Forum!

You mentioned that you have a 1966 "Corsa 500", but those are two different models of the Corvair. The Corsa was the top of the model series, while the 500 was the economy version of the Corvair.

Corvair Forum :link: viewtopic.php?f=225&t=6007

:dontknow: I would like to encourage you to expand on your initial post and tell us more about yourself, your Corvair, and your goals for your Corvair. If you can describe your personal assessment of your mechanical skills and abilities, that would help a lot. Members of the Corvair Forum love to be helpful in assisting other Corvair owners with technical support and advice, but it helps a lot if we have some understanding of your technical background and mechanical abilities, Corvair-related knowledge, etc. Helping us to know more about you and your Corvair will help us to write comments to you that are tailored to your needs and experience. Pictures are great too, because pictures of your Corvair will help us to visualize where you are with your Corvair and its condition at the present time. Knowing your location is also useful, because knowing where you live can sometimes suggest possibilities to resolve some issues or problems.

Thanks for the welcome. I live in Highland California. Currently looking for a good Mech to help with some carb issues. I have had them rebuilt by two different mech and still not running properly. Looking forward to driving once repairs are completed.

Since you live near San Bernardino, you might consider contacting the CORSA club chapter there. The experienced Corvair owners in that club might be able to help you out with resolving the problems you mentioned, and they also may be able to recommend qualified Corvair mechanics in your area. Scott Howey, who is the Site Administrator for the Corvair Forum, is also the president of that CORSA club! Here is some contact information on that CORSA chapter...

Joining a local CORSA (Corvair Society of America) club chapter is a great way to learn about Corvairs, make Corvair Friends, get local advice and assistance, and just socialize with like-minded Corvair enthusiasts and their families in your area — and this club is less than ten miles away!

Also, with regard to the carburetor issues you are having, can you be more specific in describing your problems? Which engine do you have in your Corvair?
