We are extremely honored to present to you our first confirmed guest speaker for your Saturday Night banquet.
Cory Welles.
Documentary film making has never been a spectator sport for Welles; she prefers to dive in headfirst and experience as close to as possible what her subjects have gone, or are going through, in order to fully understand the story at hand. For ’32 Hours 7 Minutes,’ Welles spent over a day and a half in the backseat of a BMW M5, running multiple cameras and field producing, while traveling upwards of 160mph in order to capture the story.

'32 Hours 7 Minutes' is a documentary film that takes its title from the US transcontinental speed record, set during the 1983 US Express (a secretive race from New York to California). A successor to the famous Cannonball races, drivers were essentially breaking the law nonstop, driving as fast as they could to cross the Unites States. The total distance, start to finish: 2,874 miles (4,625 km).Over 2 decades later, when suspicions arise about the legitimacy of that record, Director Cory Welles climbs into the backseat of Alex Roy's infamous BMW M5 and races across the country, attempting to break 32 hours 7 minutes, to prove that it's real.

Anyone know Dan who owns the lime green V8 Corvair and was at the Fan Belt toss today. I have some information he was looking for and I took down the wrong cell number.
Thanks

Again a great year at the Toss. Every space was sold and IECC had to squeeze in a few more. Literally trailers of bins of parts arrived! The music was good. The food at the park and banquet was excellent! :tu: Even getting locked into the porta- pot didn't dampen my enjoyment of the event! :dontknow:

Wonderful people and this again made for a nice get away for motorheads. Speaking of Motorheads  ... Dave was also there! Bob Helt, Seth Emerson and others haunted the field. I'm alredy looking forward to next year! :ty: IECC for doing such a great job and overcoming any glitches. We didn't hardly even notice! Great job! :not worthy:

Liked the show. Saw many old friends. Was able to pick up some new parts from Marty's Corvair. Also saw some really wild paint ideas.

Did have one concern. The awards were scheduled for 3 pm. The crew did not seem to have this part of the program together. The awards were finally done around 4 pm, and the person doing the microphone work was not at all prepared.

Hope this small issue can be better next year.

Thanks for an otherwise good show!
