Re: Bleeding brakes - late model
I decided to order a new master cylinder since too much rust in mine. I'm staying with the original single design. The new one is an AC Delco and came with a warning to NOT bench bleed it, saying it will damage it. I thought that was strange. Edit: so I should probably mount then bleed it before co...

This is what I use: https://shop.snapon.com/product/Bleeder-Wrenches/Bleeder-Wrench/S6112 Cheap huh? Buy once, cry once! I did that for flare nut wrenches...went Snap-On. I stayed alway from the Chinese crap as much as possible when I bought alot of tools listed in Bob Helt's Corvair Basics after I...

Re: Expensive Sunday :(
Hopefully not, though with all this inflation I won't be surprised if it runs me $500 to get it repainted/matched correctly. I'm an idiot and now get to pay my idiot tax.terribleted wrote: ↑Sun Nov 14, 2021 3:40 pm Looks like it is only a flash wound. Should not be too terrible to fix.

Expensive Sunday :(
I opened my garage door into my open hood (car is on EZ lift now). Guess I'll be calling the body shop tomorrow.
I won't DO THAT again. And can't even say I'd had a drink...yet.

Re: Présentation
Nice Vair! I saw in your other post you're in Savoie. Skied not too far from there at Courchevel, les Trois Vallées years ago with my Dad. Beautiful part of the world!

Clarks's site down
Looks like Clark's forgot to renew their domain! Just as I wanted to place an order while I have my Sunday morning coffee.

Re: Bleeding brakes - late model
3 done, 1 to go. Just cracked the bleeders using a 1/4" drive 5/16" socket, then could manipulate okay with a 5/16" wrench. Live and learn!

Re: Bleeding brakes - late model
Welp, as far the rear is concerned, it looks like only way I could potentially open the bleeder valve with hose attached is with crows foot which I don't have. Can't get adequate grip with a regular wrench. Could use a socket I suppose, but then I'm leaking brake fluid everywhere as I try to get the...

Bleeding brakes - late model
Lifted car and am planning to flush the brake fluid with some fresh DOT 3. Holy shit these bleed valves couldn't be in much more difficult locations to access. Nothing like most of the videos I watched on youtube (yeah, other model cars, but damn). Between that and some rust on them, it's going to b...

C'est ne pas necessaire à dire la même chose 4-5 fois! Clark's Corvair expédiera à l'étranger. C'est cher, mais possible ! Bonne Chance !
