And that is correct, the lights flash right before the engine cuts out. So, it isn't overheating? Even if it's not overheating...you have to (got to)....must ! clean those leaves from under that oil cooler cover. Don't bend it, but via jiggle....shake.... twist.....remove the mofo then get your sho...

a whole host of things could cause your 66 to overheat. 1) Timing too far advance 2) missing or Fubar engine/body seal 3) mouse nest on cooling fins 4) blocked oil cooler 5) lean mixture 6) low on oil 7) fan belt loose and so on.... the simplest task first....focus darlin' wait until the car cools d...

Would the gaps in the engine compartment cause overheating? yesss...not to mention the funky spark plug boots you have which lets out the much needed cooling air from the fan... What is the tube for that stops near the vents? ummm....no idea what that means... After going up the street and back to ...
