Re: Sump over filled?
I'm thinking the same thing, just oil in the system that eventually makes it's way back to the sump. However, it registers nearly two quarts over full when cold, then about a half quart low when warmed (still checking with the engine off). Could the oil cooler be draining back? Still kinda hard to c...

Sump over filled?
66' Corsa Turbo, four speed, no modifications. When it's cold and been sitting for several days, the dip stick registers way over the full mark. When I've been driving for a while and it's warm it registers slightly under the full mark (checked with the engine off). Is there enough oil left in the o...

I've ownded it for several years, but just got it done in the last few months. I'm the second owner. It has 29k miles on it, but I intend to drive it often. Ev...

Re: How did you get into Corvairs?
My dad had one when he was younger and always talked about how well it handled and what fun it was. We have owned and restored dozens of cars over the years and the 66' Corsa Turbo I have now was "just one of the many" during that time. in 1997, a co-worker of a good friend mentioned that ...

Re: Hello from Wyoming
Thanks guys. My father and I did all the work excepting the paint. We usually sell the cars we restore, but this one is so unique and turned out so well I decided to keep it. It's been a lot of fun so far.
