Re: Sandblasting the undercarriage?
Man do I want a rotisserie!!! And a way to sandblast outside my cabinet without making a huge mess and losing tons of media which costs money! I've pretty much given up on sandblasting anything that doesn't fit in my blast cabinet but man do I love the results. I put mine, rotisserie and all, on a ...

Re: Clarks, how do they do it??!!
It's all about the timing of the order. As long as you can get the parts on a Thursday or Friday (in time for the weekend thrash-time) it's all good. :guitar: In my never ending restomod project, I accumulate needed parts in my shopping cart until Sunday night, then submit the order. This gives me ...

Re: Gauge installs
I consider oil temp to be very important . If you do install an oil temp gauge you should put the sender where it will have oil flowing over it as opposed to the oil pan . The stock idiot light sender location is what I use. Then I have an additional hole tapped and have a high pressure hose runnin...

Re: Talbot Mirrors on a LM
Thanks for the input and pictures. I plan to go with the Talbot mirrors which I already have and drill my expensive paint job. (Note that I have the genuine Talbots in the 4" size -- 3-7/8" effective diameter.) The reasons for my decision: -- The Talbots look cool. -- They give essentially...

Re: Talbot Mirrors on a LM
Thanks, Kevin. The genuine Talbots come in two sizes: 3" and 4". The visible portion of the mirror in the 4" size is 3-7/8". The mirror size of the stock mirrors is 4/14". This equates to about a 17% difference in area, but with the convex Talbot, it's pretty much a wash wit...

Re: Talbot Mirrors on a LM
Your mirror appears to be the larger (4") version. Is it worse than the stock mirror? Also does yours have flat or convex glass?

Talbot Mirrors on a LM

Re: any big time car stereo guru's here?
The plastic plate is part of the Clark's stereo speaker kit (C9743). I was originally going to use the kit directly, but decided it could use some "improvement". In the end, the only thing I ended up using was the plastic piece and the foam that goes between the plate and the dash grill. I...

Re: any big time car stereo guru's here?
I'm not a stereo guru, but here are a couple of pictures of my 2-in-1 replacement for the stock front speaker. Speakers are Infinity Kappa 42.9i 4" 2-ways. I plan to install a center-channel speaker in the center console I'm building, plus two fill speakers in the back along with a powered sub-...
