Re: WTB Front passenger fender for a 68 500
Hi- Im trying to find a front passenger fender for a 68 500. My 'vair had an incident and I need to replace. Clarks has fiberglass but I would prefer steel, a nice salvage. I have an email into Corvair ranch. A couple folks off Facebook Corvair pages reached. out to me offering to sell salvage with...

Head studs trouble
Myself and a couple club members are rebuilding a motor for my dads ‘62 convertible. Last night while torquing the heads this happened. I didn’t make it to the 30ft lbs before it stretched and snapped off. All of the Clark’s replacement studs have this line as shown in the second pic and that’s wher...

Re: Dual Exhaust Hangers
Cool article. I have one of those “big singles”. I wondered who had made it. I was going to put it on my ‘60 but it’s too big around to fit it in the stock exhaust hole in the body. So now I run a Clark’s 2 into 1 and use a Harley Davidson “Screamin’ Eagle 2” muffler that’s modified slightly. It sou...

Re: '69 Corvair Rear Engine Funny Car
Here we are at my hometrack Jeffers Motorsports Park !! We ran a new personal best 60’ ET of 1.18 and stormed to a 5.51 ET @ 121+ MPH 1/8th mile, which is the second quickest run ever for the car, but a new best for the Corvair body (was ‘84 Vette prior) we had a blast and turned some heads !! :tu:...

$500 is cheap for a running car. But it all depends on what you want to do and you capabilities and/or budget.

Re: LED headlight upgrade - the latest.
This is what the beam pattern of my headlights (posted above) looks like against the garage door. The pattern is pretty good and I don’t get flashed by oncoming traffic.

Checked the draw today.
Did I do it right?
I’ve never used one of these things.

Re: Looking at headlight requirements and alternatives.
It's finally raining at my place and I had some free time. Scott got me interested in looking at alternative headlight configuration. First I decided to find out what is legal. The DOT, NHTSA, and state and local governments all have lighting RULES. With the arrival of different lighting on new car...

I do have a 100 amp alternator and I have rewired my car.CafnutS007 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 20, 2023 3:41 pm Thank you very much for your prompt response. The one I was looking at is about the same as your. I just wanted to be sure to not overload the electrical system or fry my car.
