Well I think I dodged a bullet tonight, I pulled the starter and the nose was indeed broken, but no teeth on the torque converter were broken or damaged at all. I guess that would mean that it's okay to put a new nose on the starter and crank the baby up...

I just got to experience my first starter nose issue, I had to call it a night because of darkness, after sharing a video with rafee and talking to him on the phone I think we figured out the starter nose is broken.. I will have to take it off tomorrow and make sure thats the problem.. I had planned...

Thanks for the info.. I had someone tell me that a 2004 Honda Accord seats would work as well..

Nice... I have a set of those style air breathers on my 64, I noticed that they really are tight against the choke pull offs and they rub on them, Do you have that problem? I solved that problem myself =). I am partial to these style air cleaners and I initially had a similar issue. What I've done ...

Taking the Corvairs to car shows is the best, everyone that Ive went to people crowd around to swap stories and tell false facts and everything else you could imagine.
