Re: Choke Issues

:wrench: You will have to remove the lower sheet metal shroud to allow you access to the choke coil assembly so that you can inspect it and determine the cause of the choke problem. http://www.californiacorvairparts.com/img/p/449-508-large.jpg https://www.corvairforum.com/forum/download/file.php?id=...

Re: hey has that thing gotta turbo

I didn't notice the disconnected and missing oil feed line for the turbo when I glanced at the original picture, or the non-stock oil return line projecting up from the right head with a bolt plugging the tube. Without knowing the history of the turbo you will need to consider pulling the turbo and ...

Re: Another Newbie

:welcome:  :welcome2: Welcome to the Corvair Forum! I guess a successful reversal depends on how far the previous owner progressed with his project. You would likely have a lot of reversal work to return it back to a conventional powertrain. Considering all of the sheet metal work needed in th...

My Corsa is also a daily driver (although I am retired so I don't commute to work). State Farm covers the car for stated value and imposes no mileage restrictions. http://www....

Re: Upgrading to dual exhaust

Is there any benefit to changing the manifolds to 140's? The 140hp cylinder heads utilize larger valves and ports than the 110hp cylinder heads, as well as intake manifolds that accommodate four carburetors and the dual exhaust configuration. The 140hp exhaust manifolds do have better-breathing cap...

:welcome2:  :welcome: Welcome to the Corvair Forum! I have been driving Corvair Corsas with 140hp 4x1 engines since I was 16 years old (1969). Re: Choke Issues

:chevy: :wrench: I found that the 1965 Corvair Assembly Manual contains some good guidelines for carburetor choke and linkage adjustment. The choke adjustment page is shown below, and the entire section is attached.
