the shift cable is adjusted right, i can shift the trans and it will jerk when i put in forward or reverse but just doesn't want to move, it try's to move a little bit

i stated that the trans will go into reverse, what i should have said that i can feel it shift into reverse but it has the same problem as forward it doesn't want to move, i can also feel it shift into drive the mechanic has gone thru the trans double checking everything and can't see anything worn ...

everything was adjusted according to the specs, the trans was installed and rebuilt by a transmission shop, when i tried to drive it i had to rev the motor real high and the car would barely move, i went about one block with it and all of a sudden it acted like it went into neutral it acted like it ...

i have the late model that doesn't have the screw to hold it in place, the owner of the repair shop is doing the repairs and thankfully he doesn't have a problem trying to figure out what is wrong, i'll mention to him about the pickup screen, he has been doing trans repairs for many years, i think h...

i had my power glide trans rebuilt buy a reputable trans shop, when i finally got to road test my car it would barely move, when i filled the trans it would only take 4 qts of fluid, i called the repair shop and they said if it showed full on the dip stick to go ahead a drive it to make a long story...

i will do the voltage test but how do i get the gen light to go off, when i rev the motor a little it goes off and that is telling me that there isn't enough voltage from the regulator at idle to turn the lights off and that is why i think the voltage needs to be adjusted up just a little bit

i just put a alternator and a voltage regulator on my car and i noticed that when the car is at a idle the gen light comes on, my question is do i need to do a fine adjustment of the regulator so the light isn't on and if so how do i do it, i replaced the regulator with a Delco regulator

thanks for the information, i think the cable is right because when i put in neutral it doesn't move and it shifts into reverse but i will pull the pan and check it, it shifts real positive into reverse but it doesn't but doesn't do that in drive, i can hardly notice much difference from reverse to ...

i measured the dip stick and it is the right one, i just had this trans rebuilt but i had to put a used converter on from the Ranch Corvair because there aren't any rebuilt ones available, my old one had a bad starter ring gear and i am hoping that the converter isn't the problem
