The stinger distributor requires a electronic box outside the the distributor. The pro series does not require an external box. A pro series distributor is an electronic distributor that cost $130.00 listed as a R2R on a number of sites on the net.It does not require a secondary electronic box. Can't seem to find anyone that has purchased one for a corvair. Just looking for someone that has tried one. Larry
