strange opening in engine sheet metal

Got an April 1966 Willow Run build 140 Monza with the opening under the disty. Cooked my coil so I made a cover for it, like a hair dryer on high blasting the coil. I heard that the slot was in all the covers to save cost from 66 model year forward. I think 66 smog was a CA only requirement that in ...

Re: Hello from the Florida Panhandle!

Great car and road trip story. Search the forum and I think you’ll find the clicking sound on your pressure plate is probably loose flywheel rivets.

Thanks

Re: Choke Adjustment

Use a vacuum pump like a Mitty vac and pull 15 inches on the pull off. It should move the lever In fully and hold it until you hit the release button on the pump. With this method I found I had a pull off that was leaky. Took about three minutes for the vacuum to go to zero. The other held it for un...

Re: LM Rear Wheel Backspacing Help Needed

Kind of like early Corvairs in reverse. Too low an air pressure caused it to roll when a tire blew. We all know what happens when Corvair front tires are overinflated by noobs[emoji79]

Re: The Shakes!

My 66 has no rocker rot and has no cowl shake with the top up and it takes a big bump to even notice it with the top down. All my shakers are in place.

Wonder about any flex with the top down and moving the doors up and down.

I think you answered your own question. Owning a 72 350 small block and an 93 LT1 I can tell you there is a lot of difference between the old design and the LS design that I drove just the other day Us gear heads recall when it took special parts and tricks to top 400hp net on old school small block...
