Re: Am-Iron 1965 Corsa 140 Convertible
I'm not having any trouble owning just one...so far. I'm yearning for a wagon, 110 4 speed would rock. Missus wouldn't like it much though, methinks. I'd need to move to a place with a shop.

Sound insluating the package area... I must do that too. Should be an afternoon length job, no?
What did you use to insulate the rear area? I'd like to do that without breaking the bank, so much to do, so little money...

Make her learn in something "expendable" and you get to drive the 63! Bonus!

Re: 1965 Corsa clone, but a sweeeeeet one
More updates: I was boiling the electrolyte out of my battery a bit, nice solid 16V at battery terminals. :( Luckily, alt was fine and one cheap Chinese-made solid state regulator later, (No US-made alternative available at this alternator shop) back in business. Cleaned junk out of oil cooler while...

I have to make sure they are 95s. I'll check numbers when I get home in a couple of hours.

Greg I am very jealous of that purchase you made. The more I look the more jealous I get. You aren't the only one! I tried to keep it a secret at first to keep some "vulture" from swooping in and getting it instead of me. Luckily no one did. I'm getting some window channel for the ...

Re: 65 Corsa Convertible project
I want to deaden the engine noise in the passenger compartment of my Corsa... I wasn't looking forward to the price of DynaMat® I'll have to check out this U.Seal, we have both Lowe's and Homie Depot here in Eugene. Bob, I'd try a hot air gun for getting the undercoating off, get a cheap one at Harb...

More on my ride. I took her to her first car show with me as the owner, the South Albany High School senior all-night party car show. It was fun, won no awards, but there was quite a bit of interest in the car. Jerry Mello of the Beaver State Corvair Club showed up with his 65 turbo, while not quite...

Re: Corvair of the Month April 2011
Here's my 65 Corsa clone, with a built 140 engine with 280 cam, tricked-out "big single" exhaust, and a bit of shine to the paint now. She's been in dry storage for most of the last 10 years, and is loving being back on the road by the way she purrs now. Fresh 195/60R14 tires and lowered s...
