They are the original pistons, the motor has 72,000 on it the two i need to replace were damaged by the valves hitting them

Rebuilding motor

I have my 65, 140 motor tore down, since Clark's is closed is there any place else where i can get the parts i need to rebuild my motor? I need two pistons plus rings, rod bearings and a complete gasket set

I am reparing my 140 motor because of dropped valve seats and I am going to replace the rings and rod bearings while I have it out of the car, my question is how hard is it to replace the crank seals without splitting the case?

I have a 65 Monza conv with the 140 motor and i have some dropped valve seats, the heads are at a machine shop right now but the valves damaged two pistons, I need to replace those pistons so when I am doing this i want to put new rings in and rod bearings, my question is, how do I replace the beari...

I checked the compression and i have a valve Open on two different cylinders, i plan on having both heads done and thought i would put new rings and rod bearings in, i have completely restored the car, it shows 72,000 on the speedometer, i already replaced the push rod o rings, i am a pretty good me...

I found the problem it was the positive wire to the junction on the frame rail someone had spliced it and it came apart thanks for all the helpful information

I replaced the pushrod seals and tried to adjust the lifters i put it at top dead center and adjust the required lifters but when i rotate the motor counter clockwise the lifters i previously adjusted are really loose what am i doing wrong, this is the first time i have ever done this
