Yes, your pic does help. Thank you.

In that position, is your visibility good from drivers seat ?

I do see you have good clearance from vent glass.

Passenger side outside mirror location '65 to '69.

1965 to 1969 PASSENGER OUTSIDE MIRROR LOCATION.
I now have a N.O.S. Right mirror, but no template came with the mirror.
For those of you who have a factory right outside mirror, how far is the distance from the leading edge of the mirror base to the door / fender gap ?
Thanks.

Re: 1969 corvair vehicle sequence numbers

Build quality was terrible on the 69's especially the later ones. Many had damaged body panels, missing parts or assembly procedures. My convertible has a big kink at the bottom of the left side door hinge pillar like someone dropped it before it was welded on. Dave Keillor who has a highly option ...

Re: 1969 corvair vehicle sequence numbers

The sequence # is part of the puzzle. Fisher was stock piling bodies. If you look at the Finger tip facts book you will see the bodies on the last 10 cars were actually older than the ones that preceded them. Last 10 has dates of 04D where the ones that preceded them were 05A. The bodies numbers ar...

Your car was #2000 out of 6000. My original 69 Monza coupe was #4485 out of 6000. My current 69 Monza convertible is 3812.
OK ! Thank you John.

1969 corvair vehicle sequence numbers

As you may .... or may not know, my 6 month search for a Corvair has ended. My 1969 500 Coupe will be transported to me in the 2nd week of July. Being that 6,000 Corvairs were assembled for the 1969 model run, are the last digits of my V.I.N. related to the 6,000 total Corvairs produced or are the l...

Re: Auto Transporter

I misfiled the info I had from my March conversation with the shipper I had in mind.

End result is I got the info late this afternoon, like to have all variables of a deal known before the deal is a deal.

Auto Transporter

Back three months ago, in March, I was given a name of a transporter, I'm not certain if it was on this site or not. This husband and wife team, who reside in Oregon or Washington, will travel cross country at a reasonable rate. They also travel to Fairbanks Alaska Auto Museum, but the museum doesn'...

Re: So let's talk about the current state of Corvair prices.

I have been directly associated with Chevy's, through the hobby and my employment, since 1964. When buying or selling, I feel comfortable using "Hagerty's value guide", as my reference point. For the past two months, I have really dug in, looking for a "turn key" '65 to '69 Monza. Emails sent, pics ...

Re: Hello from NC

There is a big auto show coming up in Charlotte at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. One section of that is dedicated to Corvairs. You're likely to find a more prestine Vair at a show. An auction will be held and private sales are possible. https://www.corvair.org/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civi...

Re: Hello from NC

Don't know if I'm doing something wrong here.

Each time I come to this site, I login again .... user name, then password, then check "remember me" ...... but it never remembers me.
Next time to the site, same procedure as above.
Am I missing a step here ?
