Yes this seemed to have fixed my blinking light issue. Need to drive at dusk or let run with lights on outside where I can see.
Yes.... The cheapening of parts..... I see it everywhere..... Sad, That's why a lot of times I try to only buy NOS parts.... Or even good used parts.

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
Update I've ordered another light switch, this time from Napa. The first was from advance. Something I noticed was the coil was a thinner guage from Napa but more coils. Advance auto parts was thicker guage but less coils. Two different manufacturers too. The napa one worked well & seemed to hav...

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
Bbodie52, I will check the connector, I did replace the dimmer switch & headlight switch.
Heck I'll check all the wires again, maybe something loose too.

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
Alright an update here. I have fixed brake lights by grounding a wire from housing to the body & both taillights & brake lights work as they should. After pulling the wheel off, I noticed the half moon shape was broken & this was not allowing the turn signals to work. If I moved the swit...

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
After doing some testing, I have taillights & brake lights.
All I did was ground the housing to the bumper with a loose wire & everything worked! Woohoo.
Now just have to ground the housings with maybe some solder or a well placed screw.
Turn signal switch next!

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
Well after cleaning & fixing wires & testing with a battery charger the housings each work. When putting into the van nothing.... I swear I read the multimeter correctly that there was power when the switch was pulled. Could this just be a ground issue? The multi-connector was also cleaned &...

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
Have yet to pull steering wheel off yet. I need the Lakewood above the van.... Just noting as well, I purchased a Delphi fuel pump for the van and it lasted about 2 months and started squirting fuel out the top hole. Item was returned to summit with a full refund and purchased a Carter and that is w...

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
Here are the taillights, I could see why the right would have nothing. I did test the driver side & it has power when switch pulled. Nothing when bulb is in. Bulb is new too.
So I will cut bad section out of passenger & maybe somehow ground each taillight. Maybe solder it together.

Re: Corvan Wiring Woes....
66vaitguy, I have looked at the wires that are not wrapped, but tomorrow I may try to unwrap the harness to see if some wires are melted together. If that's the case I will have to order a new harness. Also tomorrow I will attempt take the wheel off & see what the turn signal switch looks like. ...

Hello fellow members! I'm reaching out to ask about a slight electricial issue on my; 1964 Corvan, 62 102 engine, Car PG, Van Diff. So I have been working to be able to drive around more legally, albeit all of my lights and blinkers. I have fixed my headlights, low & high beam & front parkin...

Re: Odd Hesitation Issue
Well when I changed the hose I thought it was flowing onto my arm & face quite well hahaha.
I know the tank was replaced in 2000 & was driven & kept full. The sender & sock was replaced then too.

Re: Odd Hesitation Issue
I changed the front runner hose, the back was good. I haven't pulled the sender out to check it. It's possible but it isn't an issue that I have all the time. It is random.
I will check it once closer to an empty tank.
Fuel pump is new, from summit racing, I'm sure it's the same as Clark's sell too

Re: Odd Hesitation Issue
Good to know, I've done 85 in both my 4sp & automatic. Although that automatic still feels quite odd at high speeds. It's quite hard to describe. The best I can describe it is once you get the pedal to a certain point, it feels like the car isn't accelerating as well, almost like it has resistan...

Re: Odd Hesitation Issue
Here's an update. I've taken the carbs off my other 64 110 & that helped some. less hesitation, but still present. I actually did put a new vacuum modulator on just to eliminate a possibility. After tuning the carbs I'm able to get the idle in N low enough to not pull on the vacuum advance &...

Re: Early Model Air Conditioning
Thanks Brad! I tried making contact with the air vair group but never heard back. I saw the book from Clarks, forgot to get it with my latest purchase. I remember a member of the Friends of Corvair (I'm in it as well) show me a booklet for I think 1960 Corvair or something similar. That's what inspi...
