Re: Nash Fan is here!

I was wondering how much noise the Nash Fan makes as compared to the stock fan on my 65.

Grinding Noise

Periodically I get a grinding noise on my 65 Corsa. It seems to happen when I start to accelerate with the clutch in or out. It appears to come from the top of the engine. Can the fan get off center and hit he turkey roaster? Is there a particular bearing that can cause the problem? At this point I ...

Re: Float Assist Spring

The problem is with the spring but I can't see anything wrong with it. I tried two different springs with two different floats. Same flooding. I tried removing with one of the floats and not more flooding. I did not look at the spring hole with a magnifying but that could be the problem. I got it al...

Re: Float Assist Spring

Both floats I tried did not leak nor was there any wear in the small hole that the spring fits in. the tension spring is resting on the body of the seat not the top. All pieces of the carb are in place. The only thing I changed was removing the tension spring and that stopped the flooding. I am goin...

Float Assist Spring

I have a 4 carb 65 Corsa and having trouble with the float level. I initially took the left primary carb off to unplug the accelerator circuit. After getting it cleared the needle and seat would not seal. I tried cleaning it and checking the float adjustments (.0125 upper adjustment drop adjustment ...

Re: Spark Problem in #1

I have checked everything listed above with no definite results. The advance plate is bad but does not seem to be grounding. This would affect all the cylinders. I have not seen any damage to wiring. Inside the distributor. I have been planning on replacing the distributor and coil with a stinger un...

Re: Spark Problem in #1

Stock ignition. 12 volts at positive coil terminal with jumper wire installed. All the other wires have good spark going thru the resistor wire or using the jumper wire. #1 gets a real weak as soon as the engine starts and sometimes no spark at all. I used one of those spark checkers with the clear ...

Spark Problem in #1

I have a 65 Corsa that began missing. It is getting a good spark when the starter is running but does not have spark when the engine starts. I run a wire from the battery to the positive side of the coil and the same thing happens. I could not see anything wrong with the distributor or cap and the #...

Stinger Distributor

I am in the process of installing a Stinger Distributor in my 65 Corsa. I have purchased the linkage adapter for the carburetor and in the process of install 12 volts to the coil. I did not want to run a wire from the ignition switch but planned on tapping on the 8 pin connector on the left side of ...
