Re: Wanted.Corvair junkyard primer bòok.Used greasy ok
Scott Morehead a.k.a "Corvair farmer" usually vends inside in the Festhalle and has copies of the primer for sale, you will probably be able to pick one up from him.

FS FC Body Panels - Free delivery to Helen
Hello everyone, I have a couple FC body panels for sale, these are for local pickup in Louisville, KY. Or I can also deliver free to Helen, GA (Space permitting). I've attached a decent amount of pictures to give you a decent idea of the condition of these panels, they aren't perfect, but aren't ter...

Re: Electric Corvair ---
A basic problem with a all electric Corvair is that the body just doesnt allow for a lot of room for batterys so the range ends up being fairly limited unless radical surgery is done. I've been thinking about how an FC could be a pretty good candidate for an EV conversion. The central level floor w...

Re: F/S NORS Ignition switches for EMs/FC, and 65 LMs
This is indeed the correct switch for 65s, it accepts the semi-circular tumbler pin like was used with the 60-64 tumblers. See the image of the back of the SA-90L tumbler for what this looks like. There was a good article somewhere (from the communique?) talking about what makes the 65 switch unique...

F/S Assorted NORS parts
You may have seen my ignition switch FS post, I also have a good bit of these other parts. Again, I hesitate to say I have a stock because I'm not trying to be a business, but I pretty much have a stock of these. To avoid clogging up the FS pages I'll post these all together here. These are brand ne...

F/S NORS Ignition switches for EMs/FC, and 65 LMs
Hello all, I had this posted on the other forum as well. I have a number of NORS Sorenson brand ignition switches for sale. I hesitate to say I have a stock, because I'm not trying to be a business, but I have many multiples of each. These are USA made, no cheap modern reproduction. These have the c...

Re: O/T-Moon Landing Tomorrow
I found this interesting video talking about the dust from the lunar lander and why there isn't any on the feet of the Eagle lander. I think a lot of confusion comes from how seemingly every-day behaviors are very much different in a complete vacuum. Also, the South Korean Danuri probe was able to ...

Re: O/T-Moon Landing Tomorrow
Well I was a bit curious about the tech, so I looked into the camera stuff a bit, I'm not really enough of a camera nerd to bother looking a lot more. There were multiple different types of cameras and video cameras used for the lunar missions. This site I found about the Apollo 15 mission lists the...

Re: NOS Part Boxes
I like to keep the couple I have and display them as little garage decorations, I like how the boxes are more decorated than it seems you would got nowadays. I've even kept some newer boxes, like the Hastings piston ring boxes for the same reason. It does seem a shame to throw away these now histori...

Re: What’s inside the tank?
It seems to me that a lot of times a tank that looks rusty/really rusty from the inside, but ok from the outside, is just covered in old varnished gas. The tank from my van looked like it was completely covered in rust inside. A couple treatments with a strong lye solution (very strong draincleaner)...

Re: Differential gear pattern
I'm no expert either, but I did rebuild my own differential after heavy research. I've attached a good collection of articles that discusses gear contact pattern setting, as well as some of the issues with the shop manual. It's been a while since I've read it, but if I remember right, the discussion...

Re: Van inner rear panel removal?
I'll post this in a second reply Yes, the upper hinge for the rear side door is accessed through removal of the side panel. The bolts for the lower hinge are accessed through the plugs at the bottom of the pillar. Many people remove the plugs by jamming a screw driver under the edge and prying them ...

Re: Van inner rear panel removal?
Yes, besides all the obvious visible screws on the side panels, there are 2 screws each from the top and bottom that retain each panel. The top screws are accessed by removing the cardboard panel, they are at the back of the rear window frame. The bottom screws you will need to do some arm contortio...
